Second Annual Recording Website Seminars & Workshops
April 8, 2004 is the "Second Annual
Recording Website Day" at the Recording Institute of Detroit. Four
seminars are being held on entering the music and recording field. April
9-10th RID holds its Spring, 2004 Pro Audio Specialist Seminars &
Workshops, allowing web students to complete requirements for an RID
campus training certificate with only two days attendance.

Saxman Darron McKinney Answers the "Call to Courage"

CORNBREAD PRODUCTIONS Detroiter,
Darron McKinney, has released a 15-song CD called "Soft Spoken" on a label
he founded. One cut, "A Call to Courage," is dedicated to the men
and women of the nation's police forces, and written to serve as a wake-up
call and inspiration to police officers everywhere. Performed before 18,000 people in Washington,
DC at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial candlelight
vigil on May 13, 2001, the tune has gained in significance after the 9/11
attacks.

Quality EQ

I define Quality equalization as boosting the correct set of
harmonic frequencies on an instrument to achieve a desired tone
quality change in the instrument. The difference is you are taking
into account the frequencies actually being generated by the
instrument.
